The Tamil Nadu Pallottine Provincialate is temporarily transferred to PILLAR, Madurai. This will continue to remain as the  province headquarter until a new provincialate building is built.

Fr. Emmanuel Becomes Provincial

Fr. Emmanuel Savariaradimai, founder–director of PILLAR, was elected the Provincial Rector of the Tamil Nadu Pallottine Province. He took charge of the office on 18 February 2023 at Salem. Very Rev. Fr. Zenon Hanas SAC, the Rector General, and many Pallottine Fathers also took part in the event.

Feast of St. Vincent Pallotti

The Pallottine Community at PILLAR celebrated St. Vincent Pallotti’s feast on 22nd January 2023 at 6 p.m. in the Sacred Grove, Pillar Campus. The open-air mass was presided over by Fr. Dr. S. Emmanuel SAC, the provincial-elect of the Tamil Nadu Pallottine Province. The homily was given by Fr. Edwin SAC, who highlighted the similarity of thoughts between Vincent Pallotti and values found in the Tamil Literature.  The participants included the staff of PILLAR, Pallotti and Bruder Klaus Schools,  lay friends, priests and Religious from Nagamalai Pudukottai area. The Flower decoration was done professionally by the parents of our volunteer Ms. Theresa Budke.

Bishop of Chiayi, Taiwan, visits

The Most Rev. Norbert PU, Bishop of Chiayi, Taiwan, paid a visit to Pillar Pallottine community on 11 January 2023. He was accompanied by Fr. Solomon Raj SAC.  Two Pallottine Confreres of  Tamil Nadu are working in his diocese.  The Bishop had a meeting with Fr. Emmanuel, who would be taking over the leadership of the province on 18 February 2023. 

Education Minister Visits PILLAR

Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, the minister for school education, TN., inaugurated the training session for the newly recruited district education officers held at Pillar on March 28, 2022, at 09.30 a.m. Among the dignitaries who graced the event included P.Moorthy, minister for commercial taxes, Arul Oli, director of elementary education and Aneesh Sekhar, collector, Madurai district.
